Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

These Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are designed to guide you through our services and policies. Please take a few minutes to read them carefully.

General

Q: What services do you provide?
A: I offer legal practice support, mobile notary services, remote online notary (RON) services, and creative writing/editing.

Q: Do you require appointments?
A: Yes. All services are by appointment only to ensure availability and proper preparation.

Q: How do I pay for services?
A: Payment is due at the time of booking on our website. Deposits secure your appointment and are non-refundable.  I can also accommodate payments via Zelle.  Please note: If the total cost of your service is greater than the amount paid on my website, the remaining balance will be invoiced and must be paid in full at the time of service, prior to delivery of the final product or service.

Q: I am unsure about what services I need or how much it will cost.  What do I do?

A: Please utilize our free 15-minute strategy call booking to ask any questions you may have or, in the alternative, e-mail stellar.m.services@outlook.com with your question(s).  For a faster response, you may also text our phone number.

Mobile Notary Services

Q: What is a mobile notary?
A: A mobile notary travels to your location to notarize your documents in person.

Q: What do I need to provide?
A: A valid government-issued photo ID and the unsigned document(s) that require notarization. All signers must be present and provide a valid government-issued photo ID before the signing session begins.

Q: Do you charge travel fees?
A: Yes. Travel fees vary based on location and will be confirmed before booking.

Remote Online Notary (RON) Services

Q: What is RON?
A: RON allows you to have documents notarized online through a secure audio-video platform, eliminating the need for an in-person mobile notary.

Q: What do I need for a RON session?
A: A computer or mobile device with a reliable internet connection, a webcam, microphone, and a valid government-issued ID for identity verification.  Please note that all RON sessions require an additional verification step wherein all signers will be required to complete the Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) before being allowed to enter the RON signing session.

Q: What if I fail the Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) Quiz?

A:  If the signer(s) fail the Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) after two (2) attempts, the RON signing session cannot proceed that day, and the deposit will be non-refundable. You may, however, choose to schedule a mobile notary session on the next available date and time through our booking calendar.

Q: Am I allowed to take the Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) Quiz a different day?

Stellar M Services will allow the signer(s) to re-take the Knowledge Based Authentication two (2) times in one day.  If the signer(s) fail a second time, the signer(s) have the option to reschedule once they are able to complete the Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) Quiz or book a mobile notary service appointment if they are local to the area.  Both of these options will be treated as a new service, and we will apply the new service fees accordingly.

Q: Can multiple signers join a RON session?
A: Yes, but each signer must provide their own email address and valid ID which must be given to the Remote Online Notary prior to the beginning of the session.

Q: How can I expedite my RON session in the case of an urgent matter?

A: Stellar M Services prides itself on being able to provide expeditious and quality service excellence.  We will try our best to accommodate as urgently as possible but please understand that there is a preparation period that goes along with every Remote Online Notary (RON) session.  We would be doing both you as our client and our company a disservice if we did not carefully prepare each (RON) session envelope carefully.  We will work fast but diligently to get your Remote Online Notary (RON) session prepared.

Q: What can I expect before my RON session begins and after it ends?

A: We will send an introductory e-mail upon booking which will provide you with reminders of what you will need to proceed with the Remote Online Notary Session.  During this introductory e-mail, we will ask for the document(s) so we may glance over the document(s) and upload them in advance of the Remote Online Notary (RON) session, tagging each appropriately.  A second e-mail will be sent to you with an invoice for payment (if any additional fees are owed) and an invitation will be sent through our secured notary platform to join the Remote Online Notary (RON) session.  Final payment for the session must be paid immediately after the RON session and in order for you to receive the final executed sworn documents.
